Effective Date: 12th of May, 2026
By purchasing a boost, you agree to the terms below. This policy is an extension of Skippa's Terms of Service.
A boost temporarily increases your video's weight in Skippa's recommendation algorithm, giving it a better chance of being shown to more people for a set period of time.
Boosts are available at three tiers:
How boosting works: Skippa's algorithm recommends videos based on factors like engagement and video age. Boosting a video increases the video's algorithmic weight, making it show up more often in the user feed. Even though this is not classified as a paid advertisement, we still label boosted videos in the feed to stay transparent and follow the EU Digital Services Act.
Our recommendation algorithm is dynamic and affected by factors outside our control — including how viewers engage with your content, the time of day, and platform-wide trends. A boost may significantly increase your reach, or it may have a modest effect.
You're paying for increased algorithmic priority, not for a guaranteed number of views or followers. Results will vary, and this is something you accept when you buy.
Payments are handled by PayPal. Your boost activates immediately after payment is confirmed.
Because the boost is a digital service that starts instantly, the purchase is non-refundable once activated — by completing checkout, you're explicitly requesting immediate fulfilment and acknowledge that this waives your right to cancel under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (Article 16(m)).
The only exception is a verified technical failure on our end that prevented the boost from activating at all — in that case, we'll re-apply it or issue a refund at our discretion. Poor results do not qualify for a refund, as variable outcomes are a disclosed feature of this service.
Your statutory rights are not affected where applicable law does not permit this waiver.
If your video or account is found to violate our Terms of Service at any point during an active boost, the boost will be cancelled immediately with no refund.
To the extent permitted by law, Skippa is not liable for losses connected to a boost — including if it produces no results, is cancelled early, or becomes unavailable. If we are found liable for anything, our total responsibility to you is capped at the amount you paid for that specific boost.
Nothing here limits any liability that cannot be excluded by law, such as liability for our own fraud or negligence causing personal injury.
Your local consumer protection laws still apply. If you're in the EU or EEA and have a dispute about a content moderation or account decision, you may raise it with a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body under DSA Article 21. A list of certified bodies is available at digital-strategy.ec.europa.eu.
